PO Box addresses are not returned by the Google Maps address lookup. However, they can still be entered manually and saved correctly within the system.
Using the correct fields ensures the PO Box address is stored consistently and displays correctly anywhere the contact record is used.
Enter a PO Box address
Follow the steps below to manually enter a PO Box address in the contact record.
- Go to: Contacts
- Open the contact record
- In the Postal Address section, type the Country first, then the Suburb
- Select any address suggestion that includes the correct Suburb and State
- Overtype PO Box into the Number field
- Enter the PO Box number into the Street Name field
- Clear any values remaining in the Unit or Type fields
Enter a PO Box address with a street
Some PO Box addresses also include a street reference, such as arcade or building details.
For example:
PO Box 94, Niddrie Arcade
Niddrie VIC 3042
In this situation, enter the address as follows:
- Enter the full PO Box value (for example, PO Box 94) into the Number field
- Enter the street or location details (for example, Niddrie Arcade) into the Street Name field
- Complete suburb, state, and postcode as usual
